In a move reflecting its ongoing commitment to sustainability, TECOM Group PJSC announced that 55% of the gross leasable area across its commercial office portfolio in Dubai has achieved LEED certification, following 12 new recognitions in the first half of 2025 by the U.S. Green Building Council.
LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - is a globally recognized benchmark for green building standards. Certifications are awarded to structures that meet rigorous performance metrics on carbon emissions, energy and water efficiency, materials usage, waste management, transportation impact, and indoor environmental quality.
With the latest accreditations, TECOM Group now counts 55 LEED-certified buildings across its commercial portfolio. The company said this milestone aligns with its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) framework and supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Recent certifications include six buildings in Dubai Internet City, notably Phase 2 of the Innovation Hub and the in5 Tech center. Additional buildings in Dubai Production City, Dubai Design District (d3), and Dubai Industrial City also received LEED certification.
Haif Zamzam, Executive Vice President of Strategy & Marketing and Chair of TECOM’s ESG Committee, said the achievement reflects the company’s focus on designing workspaces that meet modern sustainability benchmarks while supporting innovation-led industries. “Our efforts aim to make our districts and our customers’ operations more environmentally responsible,” Zamzam said.
The Group’s broader sustainability push includes its Energy Retrofit Project, which has delivered annual energy savings of 11.8% over the past two years. The initiative has been recognized by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.
“Sustainability is an institutional goal,” said Abdulla Bahroozyan, Executive Vice President of Engineering. “These certifications are a result of aligning our operations with long-term environmental stewardship.”
TECOM’s commercial occupancy rate reached 95% in H1 2025, marking a 3% increase year-on-year. The Group reported AED 1.4 billion in revenue for the period, a 21% rise compared to H1 2024. Net profit stood at AED 737 million, up 22% year-on-year.
TECOM Group manages 10 business districts across Dubai, including Dubai Media City, Dubai Science Park, and Dubai Knowledge Park, supporting more than 12,200 customers and 137,000 professionals.
