Bahrain to Host Second Emirates Falcons Racing International Cup
The UAE Falcons Federation has designated the Kingdom of Bahrain as the host country for the second edition of the Emirates Falcons Racing International Cup, scheduled to take place during the first week of December 2026.
The annual tournament operates under the directives of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, and the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the UAE Falcons Federation. Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Vice President of the federation, oversees the championship.
The event marks the second installment of the first international falconry racing championship to bear the UAE’s name and be held outside its borders. Launched during the 2025-2026 season, the international cup is designed to establish the UAE as a central coordinator for the sport globally while expanding institutional cooperation among member states.
The upcoming iteration will be organized alongside the Bahrain Inherited Traditional Sports Committee - a founding member of the International Federation for Falconry Sports and Racing - in coordination with the UAE Embassy in Bahrain. Officials stated that Bahrain was selected due to its organizational infrastructure and existing bilateral ties with the UAE regarding cultural preservation.
The UAE Falcons Federation announced that further operational details, including technical requirements, registration procedures, race categories, and prize distributions, will be published on its official channels at a later date.
